Tagomoto Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tagomoto handles information when you use the Tagomoto mobile app and related website pages that link to this policy.
Tagomoto is designed as a local-first home organization app. The current app lets you create a visual grid map of your spaces, areas, containers, and items so you can remember where things live.
This policy is written for the current version of Tagomoto. If Tagomoto later adds accounts, cloud sync, sharing, analytics, subscriptions, support forms, or other online services, this policy must be updated before those features are released.
Summary
- Tagomoto stores your home organization data on your device.
- The current app does not require an account.
- The current app does not send your spaces, areas, containers, items, profile name, notes, search history, or grid map data to a Tagomoto server.
- The current app does not use advertising trackers.
- The current app does not sell personal information.
- Data you enter can reveal personal details about your home, storage, possessions, routines, or household. Treat it as private.
Information You Provide In The App
You may choose to enter information such as:
- Profile name.
- Space names, such as Home, Office, Pantry, Garage, or Storage Room.
- Area names, such as Closet, Shelf, Cabinet, Drawer, or Desk.
- Container names, such as Bin, Box, Pouch, Tray, Shelf, or Drawer.
- Item names.
- Item emoji, quantity, notes, and related details.
- Grid positions, colors, and layout information used to draw your map.
- Recent searches.
- Onboarding and app state choices, such as whether onboarding has been completed.
This information is used to provide the app's core features: drawing your storage map, placing containers and items, searching, locating items, and showing relevant app views.
Local Storage
The current iOS app stores app data locally on your device using a local database and local app storage. This includes your spaces, areas, containers, items, grid cells, search history, selected space, onboarding status, and profile name.
Because this information is stored locally, Tagomoto does not currently have access to it through a Tagomoto server. If you delete the app, erase your device, or lose access to your device backup, you may lose your Tagomoto data.
Your device operating system or Apple services may handle backups, crash reports, purchase history, device diagnostics, or App Store activity according to Apple's own settings and privacy policies. Tagomoto does not control Apple's independent processing.
Information We Do Not Collect In The Current App
The current Tagomoto app does not collect or transmit the following to Tagomoto:
- Email address.
- Phone number.
- Account credentials.
- Precise location.
- Contacts.
- Photos or camera data.
- Advertising identifiers.
- Payment information.
- Home inventory or map data.

If a future version adds any of these data types, the privacy policy and App Store privacy disclosures must be updated before release.
Website And Support Communications
If you contact Tagomoto through a website, App Store listing, email address, waitlist form, support form, or social channel, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message content, and related support details.
We use that information to respond to you, provide support, improve Tagomoto, manage beta or launch access if applicable, and maintain records of the request.
Do not send sensitive home inventory details, passwords, financial information, or other private information through support channels unless it is necessary for your request.

Tracking And Advertising
The current app does not use advertising trackers and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
If Tagomoto ever adds advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking technologies, this policy and any required consent flows must be updated first.
Data Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, delete the app, or erase the device or backup that contains it.
Support or website communications may be retained for as long as needed to respond to you, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Deleting Your Data
For local app data, you can delete information inside the app where deletion controls are available. You can also delete the Tagomoto app from your device to remove app data stored by the app on that device, subject to how iOS and device backups work.
For support or website communications, you may request deletion using the contact method listed where this policy is posted, in the App Store listing, or on the Tagomoto website. We may need to retain some information when required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping.
Security
Tagomoto is designed to keep the current app's core data on your device. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, device passcode, Apple ID, and backups.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. If future online features are added, Tagomoto must use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the type of information handled.
Children
Tagomoto is not directed to children under 13, and the current app is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support or website channel, contact us using the contact method listed where this policy is posted.
International Use
Tagomoto may be available in different countries. If you contact Tagomoto or use future online services, information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Privacy rights can vary by location.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, object to, or restrict certain personal information that Tagomoto processes outside the local app.
For local app data stored only on your device, Tagomoto generally cannot access that data for you. You can manage that data through the app and your device.
For information you provided through support or website channels, you may exercise available rights using the contact method listed where this policy is posted.
Third-Party Services
The current app uses a local database library to store data on your device. It does not use that library to send your data to a server.
The App Store, iOS, device backups, TestFlight, website hosting, email providers, or support tools may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Review those policies for details.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. If changes materially affect how Tagomoto handles information, we will provide notice as required by law or platform rules.
